Copy Check supports a student's editing process. A person stays responsible for the published work.

What the tool provides

Copy Check is a free educational first-pass error finder. It shows flagged original passages and the rules they concern. It doesn't provide replacement wording, automatic corrections or rewritten copy.

Human review

The checker uses selected patterns. It isn't a complete grammar parser, dictionary or AP Stylebook. A flag can be wrong, and an error can be missed. A result with no flags isn't approval to publish. Writers, editors and the adviser remain responsible for facts, names, quotations, consent, attribution and final editing decisions.

Your content

Use the tool only with copy you're allowed to work on. KHS Press claims no ownership of anything you check, and it never receives your text. See the privacy policy.

Availability

Copy Check is offered as is. KHS Press may update the checker, its rules or this site at any time.
